Entrepreneurial power couple, Erika De La Cruz (Television Host and author) and Jock Purtle (Australian entrepreneur) met at a concert in Los Angeles. Neither wanted to go out that evening so when Erika noticed Jock starring back at her from the floor level, she knew she needed to meet him. When he found her, his charming good looks and his adorable Australian accent won her over. It was love at first sight

The Proposal

Since Jock proclaimed Erika as ‘the biggest Disney fan’ on earth, he planned a surprise scavenger hunt. It wasn’t just a magical Disneyland proposal, it was a day full of surprises. He included 30 VIP’s to help plan the hunt and flew people in from around the globe to celebrate the unforgettable proposal.

To their surprise, it just happened to be on Dapper Day – Disneyland’s Best Dressed Day, and you better believe I dressed the part. Jock planned it perfectly. Five scavenger spots around the park with four emotional video reunions with friends and family. Two straight hours of overwhelming joyful emotions ending with one very excited and emotional Aussie down on one knee. She said YES and let me tell you, not a dry eye in sight.

The Planning

Erika and Jock worked with P.S. & Associates Event Planning to create the perfect Manhattan in California vibe. Since the couple travels so much for work and they are both entrepreneurs, they wanted a Power Couple theme. Each detail was untraditional but overall still gave a timeless and luxury feeling. Chabeli and her planning team executed the day flawlessly – as always!

The Main Event

The Bride wore three custom designed wedding dresses made by NApostol throughout the day. She started the day in her cabana gown she wore while sipping champagne cocktails with her bridesmaids by the pool. Jock opted to hang out with his groomsmen in his room while playing board games with beers.

The couple chose EDM music for the processional and Erika was led down the aisle by her dad wearing a gorgeous fit and flare style wedding gown with crystal beading and hand sewn lace.

Erika wrapped up the evening in a simple satin gown to relax at their after party in the poolside Cabana Suite.
