This timeless Sanibel Island engagement session gives me all the tropical vibes. We chose a sunrise session to avoid crowds and the humidity. Our session started at Sanibel Lighthouse beach, where we watched the sun rise over the Gulf of Mexico while the two flirted their way down the shell covered beach.
In true Florida fashion, we tucked into a local tavern to beat the beat the heat by ordering ice cold beers beers at the local tavern and ended our session strolling down the charming streets of Fort Myers river district.
Connor and Kayla starting dating in the 7th grade and I’ve had the pleasure of watching their relationship grow throughout the years. Connor planned on proposing in 2020 during a trip to San Diego however, Covid had other plans. Despite the delay, Connor finally asked Kayla under the twinkle lights of their very own deck. This proposal was 12 years in the making and I’m honored they chose me as their wedding photographer. Stay tuned for their October 2022 wedding in Boone, Iowa. Friends and family have been waiting a long time for this celebration and I can’t wait to see plans unfold. Oh and did I mention… Kayla recently started her own wedding planning company, Dot the i Events, a design and event planning company. Cheers to all the reasons to celebrate!
Thank you Kayla and Connor for our incredible day wandering around and creating new memories while documenting your love story. I truly look forward to your wedding day.
xoxo,
